Mobile multimedia capable devices like the iPhone will boost mobile learning. As it will be no longer needed for learners to educate themselves via a small, tiny screens. Sonoaccess has release a free ultrasound education app for the iPhone (iTunes store), containing videos, pictures and case studies. Usage off the app will unfortunately require registration, but a video on their site will show it in action. A unbeatable drawback for using the iPhone is corporate education is the need to utilize the iTunes store to get the app on the devices. Which will not be suitable for company internal information, as the store is open to everyone and Apple might reject apps requiring a registration only possible for employees. But still the big screen can also display site from the company internal education system. Later will be the way of choice for enterprise learning.
